Thanks Lori! Memoirs ( and all books) are a long slog labor of love. I honestly don’t know if it will ever be finished, but perhaps it will. Meanwhile, time keeps slipping away, so I do need to keep at it….!!
I am envious! This looks perfectly lovely and I've always wanted to experience a writing retreat but am not really sure how it would work. Do you have to talk to other people? LOL. I'm going to try to give myself the gift of a slow summer this year. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Molly... it's not an "official" writing retreat (with other people) It's my own personal getaway, sans other humans. I'm fortunate to be able to come to this old house in Maine twice a year. However- I'm excited to be attending a week-long writing workshop in July with Allison K Williams where I will get the chance to be with other writers! Definitely give yourself the gift of a slow summer...
Extremely impressed and yes, a little envious! (Ginger looks very relaxed as well). These retreats offer up such insights and a kind of freshness. You sound scrubbed clean and new, in the best way possible. (Now don't spoil it all by watching any news either!) Happy for you Karen and looking forward to seeing/reading more of your work.
I enjoy your creative musings - so honest and raw - I feel blessed to be retired with the time to reflect, paint, write and be myself too. Good luck with your memoir 🥰
What a beautiful space for you and Ginger to retreat to! And finally it’s lovely here in R. I.
That sounds awesome! The perfect retreat 💫 and Im looking forward to the Memoir!❤️

haha the news.. so hard to avoid! But I've managed to limit it. I hope your summer is getting off to a great start too, Sue! xox
Sounds like a perfect May. I feel privileged to have sat on that porch with you many years ago. Definitely inspiring.

I'm glad you had an epiphany. That seems to have made it all worthwhile!
