I’m looking for you now here instead of FB! And a great post to welcome us wanderers. Wonder how your memoir is going. I’m an Aries Moon and Aries rising so I have some similar qualities I believe but with adding a Libra Moon. Looking forward to seeing you again in the spring!🙋♀️
I have basically ignored FB for years, only posting on IG, but now am pretty much vacating the entire Meta Disaster, and focusing everything here. Memoir = +/- 40 pages plus copious notes. All consuming!
I look forward to a springtime visit at Spring Pottery!! xoxox
I enjoyed reading your piece as an Aries artist also in my 70’s living in England near the famous River Wye. See my Substack post on Living by the River Wye. From my window I watch the birds each morning, the changing sky and Spring bulbs I impatiently will to grow faster 🌷🌹🪻
Thank you PJ! I find that pulling up thoughts, images, reflections and feelings are keeping me going these days. Trying not to succumb to the dark side of what is happening in our country. It's hard.
It sure is. Stay strong and in the present. Don't isolate. Connecting with each other is what helps us lift everybody and lift ourselves. Appreciate you and your gifts. PJ
Love your story and look forward to hearing more! Learning and forgetting is something I can relate to! But still I can’t help myself. One thing I remember is your Dive Into Abstraction class. ❤️ Still go back to my notes. Thanks so much! 🙏
Ah yes! I adore standing or sitting by the window at any time of the day - and I have to watch myself or I will stay there a LONG time, with the many browsers open in my head. But, if I don't get quiet time like that I really crave it - and absolutely, sans news. The world is out of control right now - I recently read an excellent quote online which was simply:
"I was told there would be a hand-basket." Dark, but funny.
I enjoyed the way you've parsed out all of your character attributes here. (And the teasing side-bars to other stories! Do tell!!!)
I look forward to your posts, Karen, very much - and I am interested in astrology too being an inquisitive, sometimes overly-serious (yet some might say, zany!) Capricorn.
haha the many browsers open in your head. I can relate to that...Thanks, Sue. I LOVE reading your posts. And I am waiting eagerly for them to be complied into a book...
Great writing Karen! I felt as though I was right there with you in your thoughts. My desk looks towards the cove--mesmerizing to watch the water's moods. I love your reflection on the astrological traits. I've noted that for a future journal writing prompt, I could use a little introspection.
Karen - your writing is beautiful and engaging. Thanks. And this post reminds me of a relaxation practice I learned about recently: useless gazing - sitting at a window and looking out. Nothing else, just taking in the world. And of course a cuppa (tea, for me) makes it even better.

Enjoyed your musing, reflection, and view.

Many thanks SE! Good to hear from you. A few Weeks ago I wrote you another long email — hope you got it

Thank you Carol! While I’ve committed to serious meditation at various times, window gazing is my latest little break from the world ☕️
Fellow Aries here, but with libra moon and ascending (i think!). I am impatient, for sure, and a bit of a risk taker. Glad to know ya!
😂 Great to be connected with you and to read your inspiring words, Ilona ! ♈️
